with how things are, and the direction Nissan is going, they will never make the Z what it could be. The Z33 and Z34 could've been so much more, but just like Toyota, Nissan is going toward always playing it safe and making cars that they can "market" as sporty. Recently spoke to a Toyota executive, and asked him why they didn't offer the Toyota 86 in a turbo configuration, his answer "with such a huge aftermarket community, we will let them offer the upgrades" so basically he is saying they will let the aftermarket community take the risk and when something goes wrong Toyota won't be liable for it.
